Zoom access to some retreat workshops and activities
This year's retreat will be shared with non-local (to New York City Area members) via Zoom, and we need both on-site and off-site (virtual) service members to support us the weekend of the retreat. If you are available to participate through this tool of service, please indicate so on the registration form. Zoom-only participants will be asked to register and contribute a $20 fee or whatever you can, however no one will be turned away for lack of funds.
Covid-19 Coronavirus Safety Guidelines
We recognize there is nothing we can do that is 100% risk free. The health and safety policy is intended to enable unvaccinated individuals to attend the event in a way that will keep them and other people safe. It is guided by current CDC principles for what is safest and for protecting those at risk.
Due to ongoing focus on Coronavirus variants at this current time, attendees of this event have 3 options in order to keep the environment safe from the disease and variants:
1) Be fully (at least two inoculations) vaccinated for COVID-19 (two weeks since your last required shot). Please bring your proof of vaccination to on-site registration. We will rely on the honor system to keep everyone safe.
People may choose to mask at any time, however...
2) If you are unvaccinated, the CDC suggests and the retreat requires the following for the safety of all:
The retreat requires anyone unvaccinated to wear a mask for all indoor activities, and to keep a 6 foot distance from others when outside without a mask.
-
Also, If you are exposed to someone who has Covid and you are not vaccinated or up to date then we ask that you monitor for symptoms and get a COVID PCR test (not rapid) 3 days before retreat. If the PCR is negative and you are without symptoms attend the retreat and wear a N-95 mask (available at most drug stores) while around others.
-
If you are at high risk for severe illness, talk to your healthcare provider about whether you need to wear a mask at all times and take other precautions & stay up to date with COVID-19 vaccines.
3. People with symptoms or a positive test should isolate at home. Please do not attend the retreat. You will receive a full refund by sending a photo of a positive test result to info@sianewyork.org.
Again, we will rely on the honor system for those unvaccinated to follow these guidelines for the safety of the group.

For a further description of the housing options and additional details, click on the Retreat Information Packet link here. Register early to ensure your housing selection. Single rooms go fast. To Register
Indicate your housing preference when you register for the retreat from the options offered, as well as your preferred meal plan. Meals can be added on once the lodging option has been selected. It will not be possible to wait and pay in-person at the retreat due to contractual obligations.
Group meals will be provided for those who select meals as part of their registration. We now have options to stay or come for the day and not request food. Please see the Retreat Information Packet. You will be able to provide details regarding food allergies and restrictions on the registration form accessed from the "Checkout Now" button above.
Day Tripper Fee is the $50 registration fee, and covers day use of the retreat facilities. Onsite meals and snacks can be added for $60 a day (3 meals) for those not staying onsite.
Lodging Cancellation Policy (applies only to lodging; does not apply to separate non-refundable registration fee): Lodging canceled prior to Aug. 1 will be refunded in full; cancellations between Aug. 1 - 7 will be refunded 50% unless there is someone else to take the room; cancellations after Aug. 7th will not receive a refund unless there is someone else to take the room. If there is someone else to take a room, lodging will be refunded in full.
Note About Service Animals
Camp Olmsted is a religious non-profit, not bound by State laws regarding service animals, but would welcome service animals that have a certificate of training. If you plan to bring a service animal, please contact us at info@sianewyork.org and let us know what your needs are so we can help make it work. Please be aware that some people are unable to be in closed spaces with animals, and in that case the service animal owner will need to negotiate when and where the animal can be present.
Early Arrival Option
Arrive Thursday evening for additional fellowship and relaxation. Early check in can be added once the lodging option has been selected.
-
Food will not be provided Thursday or before dinner on Friday, so attendees are expected to provide their own food for dinner Thursday, snacks and breakfast/lunch Friday. Please remember there is no cooking allowed in our contract with the host site. There is a microwave to warm cooked food and a refrigerator available in the Manor House kitchen.
Additional cost specific to the early arrival option is included in the registration forms, and the option can be added once the 2-day lodging option has been selected.
Non-refundable Registration Fee
Your non-refundable registration fee helps to financially support SIA and annual retreat costs. It is not applied toward your lodging (or day-tripper) fees which are separate costs determined by the retreat center which we pass along without a mark-up
Each registration fee, as well as housing and meals will include the added cost of payment processing which is 1.9% +$1.50.
Though there is not a scholarship program for this year some monies were collected last year, and we are looking for a service coordinator to begin the work of building and administering such a fund, and possibly running a fund-raising event this year for future scholarships. Please let us know if that is of interest to you.
You can also contribute to a scholarship fund for next year's 2023 retreat in the contribution area of the registration form.
